What is a meaning card?
Each of our pieces incorporate a symbol or a character. The meaning card explains the meaning of the symbol or character on the piece you choose. The meaning card comes in the lid of the box as well as the attached by ribbon on the bag.
The meaning card makes each of pieces a truly special gift!
What is 18ct Hard Gold Plating?
All gold pieces listed on the website are sterling silver covered in a layer of hard gold plate – exactly 3.2mircons. A care card is included for all 18ct Hard gold-plated silver pieces.

How to I care for my jewellery?
A gentle clean with a soft 100% cotton cloth is ideal for maintaining your jewellery's shine.
Do not wear your jewellery in the shower or pool as the chlorine will tarnish it.
Apply any perfume, body lotion or creams and let dry before you put on your jewellery. DO NOT SPRAY PERFUME NEAR GOLD PLATED JEWELLERY.
For the best care, store your jewellery in a little airtight bag in the box it came in when not being worn to minimise tarnish.
For a simple way to clean your jewellery, pour in hot water with some gentle soap in a bowl and stir. Place your jewellery in the solution for a few minutes, rinse with clean water, then polish with a soft 100% cotton cloth and pat completely dry.
Sterling silver pieces can be cleaned using any of the commercially available solutions.
Our gold plated pieces are hard plated gold over solid sterling silver. The gold layer will eventually wear off. When it does, it can be re-plated at a nominal cost through any jewellers or we would be happy to do it for you.

What if I don’t like it?
We are happy to provide an exchange or full refund on all Liwu pieces within 90 days of sale in the original packaging. Please include your order number and name, address and email. If your Liwu piece was a gift, we are happy to exchange for another piece that you would prefer.
Due to hygiene reasons, we are unable to exchange or refund earrings.
